When I first began to teach, in the sixth grade, I used another color; purple, green, even a metallic kind of blue. I did this because I was told (probably during some writing conference)that red is the color of failure. It didn't take alot of time, and alot of carelessly done assignments, for me to switch over to the color of authority.
P.S. Take my word for it..life does get even sweeter..I can't wait for you to see the glow your daughter can get come Christmas time:)
